WEST CENTRAL INTEGRATED TREATMENT FACILITY - 12/13/14

Set Captives Free Ministries sorely missed Elizabeth Smith who has been sick with bronchitis the last several weeks. The 41 ladies in attendance and volunteers lifted her in prayer; then proceeded to give God glory with joyful praise and song. Everyone participated and God's presence was felt throughout the room as women sang, clapped, knelt and prayed for each other. Sheila Stover signed in ASL to "East to West" and many women stood and praised God with raised hands.

Kevin Humphery spoke on the often quoted text in Romans 8:27-31 about God working together for the good of people who love Him. First Kevin discussed the necessity for personal accountability and honesty with God in order to hear God's will - with reference to Romans 12:1-2. Secondly, Kevin talked about how God works for our good when we "are called according to His purpose." Being called involves turning our lives over to God regardless of our circumstances. Last of all, God wants us to keep moving forward even if we fall. (Eph. 1:4-5) By continuing to turn our lives over to God, others can see God's will transforming us into His beloved daughters and sons. We are transformed by the power of God's unconditional love. (John 3:16).

At the altar service, one lady gave her life to Christ and then everyone came forward to commit themselves to finding God's purpose in their lives. It was an awesome service.
