MACON TRNSITIONAL CENTER - March 2, 2014

Wayne, Julia and I went down to Macon TC for the Sunday morning service. One of the residents opened up in prayer and then we did praise and worship. I turned it over to Wayne who continued with his series on "How to Study the Bible." He talked about "bringing it back home" .... how does it relate to today. Then he talked about applying it. Interpretation focusses on meaning and application focuses on action.

Then Wayne started to get into the letters. Letters are documents, written to a specific audience, at a specific time and address a specific situation...usually something that needs to be addressed or corrected. We have to be careful not to conclude too much from one letter - the Bible works together as a whole. A lot of answers and questions started so we did not finish with the letters. He will probably start it over next time in two weeks. There is only 2 lessons left in this series.

If you are interested in attending a class on "How to Study the Bible," Wayne will begin a class on Monday, April 7th at 7:00 PM at Relevate Church.
